You’ve seen it, the toes, they’re changing. Moc toe is having a moment, and we’re happy to see it. One of the finest examples of which has recently been released and they’re our new favourite shoes. They’re having that Tracy Island, Buzz Lightyear effect on us, and Christmas is close…
G.H. Bass & Co. release the English moc toe shoe named the ‘Wallace’ which incorporates techniques that were applied as early as the 1910s. The Wallace stays true to the brand’s true moccasin construction pioneered by George Henry Bass, merged with a modern outlook. The shoes have been handcrafted using their ‘tubular mocassin’ technique where a single piece of leather is wrapped around the bottom of the last of a shoe to create a ‘hammock’ and stitched on the upper. This creates shoes of unparalleled comfort.
Available in pull-up leather and supple suede, both styles feature an ‘Xtra-lite EVA’ lug sole that is surprisingly light, despite its heavy duty appearance.
We suggest you do yourself a favour and opt for some of these, pairing with white denim jeans and your loudest stock, pictured here in green. Why not try red, purple or even an argyle number. You’ll look the preppy business.
Both retail for £170 and are available to purchase online at www.ghbass-eu.com
